June 2020 - The Salvation Army is honored to feature Operation Share Hope partners as our Corporate Donors and Community Partners of the Month. As demand for food increased in April, over 30 community partners came alongside The Salvation Army to provide food, volunteers and products. In just 8 weeks, over 35,000 people were served food boxes across the Portland Metro area.
"International Paper recognizes that our corrugated boxes are essential for community organizations to deliver food to those most in need,” said Mike Reed, Portland Container site manager, International Paper. “We’re honored to support our local Salvation Army by mobilizing our products to meet critical needs during the pandemic.”
The Salvation Army is so thankful for the dedicated volunteers and community partners who have come alongside us to serve those in need during this time.
“Exceed Enterprises is thankful for the opportunity to support the Salvation Army. Our values statement begins, “We exist to serve with compassion.” Volunteering is another way for the people of Exceed to live our values and serve others. We hope that people throughout Oregon will continue to step forward and support the needed services of the Salvation Army while we all work together to get through the pandemic,” said Stephen Achilles, Exceed Enterprises, CEO.
The Salvation Army is proud of the number of ways businesses across the Portland Metro area are helping to end hunger in our community.
