How We’re Keeping Our Community Safe

The Salvation Army Cascade Division remains committed to serving for our neighbors in need, especially now as we all respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. To keep our community, staff, and volunteers safe, and in accordance with city, state, and federal guidelines, our individual corps community centers are adjusting services. Food-related programs are operating with the adjustments listed below.
 

Corps Community Centers

  • Albany: All individuals seeking assistance are encouraged to call 541.928.4774 to make an appointment.
     
  • Baker City (Service Extension): Our Client Choice Food Pantry has temporarily transitioned to a prepackaged food-box system. We are also offering delivery for 60 and older as well as people with compromised immune systems. Our hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 1:30 – 4:00 PM.
     
  • Bend: Our food pantry has temporarily transitioned to a "drive-thru" model with prepackaged food boxes. Services are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday between 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
     
  • Boise: Our Client Choice Food Pantry has temporarily transitioned to "drive-thru" only, with prepackaged food boxes delivered curbside. The 60-day window of pantry usage will be dismissed during this time of need.
     
  • Caldwell: Food pantry is "drive-thru" only, with prepackaged food boxes delivered curbside.
     
  • Coos Bay: Food pantry is "drive-thru" only, with prepackaged food boxes delivered curbside.
     
  • Eugene: Our Food Pantry remains open and we continue to distribute food boxes during business hours.
     
  • Grants Pass: Our Client Choice Food Pantry has temporarily transitioned to a prepackaged food-box system.
     
  • Gresham: Food boxes are distributed until Friday, June 26 at two regional locations as a drive-thru service. The public can visit any of the following locations: Wednesdays at East Hill Church in Gresham between 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM; Fridays at Clackamas Town Center between 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. For information about our services, call 503-794-3199.
     
  • Idaho Falls: Food pantry is "drive-thru" only, with prepackaged food boxes delivered curbside. Please bring ID and proof of address. For more information, pease call 208.522-7200.
     
  • Klamath Falls (Service Extension): Our food box schedule is being maintained but has changed to prepackaged boxes, Tuesday 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM, Thursday and Friday 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Clients are given a number and remain in their cars until their numbers are called.
     
  • La Grande (Service Extension): Our Client Choice Food Pantry has temporarily transitioned to a prepackaged food-box system. We are also offering delivery for 60 and older as well as people with compromised immune systems. Our hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 1:30 – 4:00 PM.
     
  • Lincoln County: Our Family Services Office is open emergency expanded hours of Tuesday through Friday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Appointments are required for assistance. Call 541-265-6814 for more information and services.
     
  • McMinnville: Food pantry is "drive-thru" only, with prepackaged food boxes delivered curbside. If you are a homebound senior, a person with compromised immunity or have a disability, please call 406-848-1467 to schedule a drop-off time at your house.
     
  • Medford: Food pantry is "drive-thru" only, with prepackaged food boxes delivered curbside. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. In addition to drive-thru food services in Medford, we will also provide a Home Delivery Service. Please call (541) 773-6965 to submit a food request.
     
  • Moore Street (Portland): Food boxes are distributed until Friday, June 26 at two regional locations as a drive-thru service. The public can visit any of the following locations: Wednesdays at East Hill Church in Gresham between 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM; Fridays at Clackamas Town Center between 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.   • Nampa: The Nampa Community Family Shelter is providing Grab & Go Lunches seven days a week from 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM. The day resource center and laundry services are suspended until further notice. Shower services are available on weekends by appointment. The seasonal Emergency Family Shelter will remain open for our housed residents through May 2020, and social distancing policies have been implemented. The Food Pantry will continue to distribute food boxes Monday - Thursday, with boxes distributed at the door.
     
  • Pendleton: Community Meals are offered in 'to-go' boxes until further notice. Lunch will be served Monday - Saturday from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
     
  • Pocatello: Lunch and coffee are being served out of our mobile kitchen Monday - Saturday from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Visit us at 400 N 4th Ave, Pocatello, ID. We are also delivering food boxes to those in need between March 23 and April 6. If you are in need of a food box, please call us at 208-232-5318 x103. Please leave a message containing your name, phone number, drop off address, and household size.
     
  • Portland Tabernacle: Food boxes are distributed until Friday, June 26 at two regional locations as a drive-thru service. The public can visit any of the following locations: Wednesdays at East Hill Church in Gresham between 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM; Fridays at Clackamas Town Center between 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. For information about our services, call 503-794-3199.
     
  • Roseburg: Food boxes are available from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Mondays are by appointment only. For other assistance, please call 541-672-6581 to make an appointment.
     
  • Salem: The Kroc Center reopened with limited services for members only beginning on Monday, June 22 at 5:30 AM. Strict sanitizing practices are implemented to follow Phase 1 reopening guidelines provided by the State of Oregon. If you are seeking help through our social services, please contact us at 503-585-6688. Food boxes are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
     
  • The Dalles: Food Pantry has temporarily changed to a "drive-thru" model with prepackaged food boxes. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. For more information please call 541-296-6417.
     
  • Twin Falls: Social Services are open. Call 208-733-8720 to inquire about services.
     
  • Washington County: Our Food Pantry is open and prepackaged food boxes are available. Grab and go sack lunches available for our community members experiencing homelessness.

   

Other Facilities

  • Rose Center: Services are temporarily suspended.
     
  • SAFES: We are currently serving food from our "walk-up" window from 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday - Friday. If you need emergency supplies these items are available: underwear, clothing, toiletries and blankets.
     
  • Veterans and Family Center: Facility is closed to outside visitors. Residents over 60 who are medically compromised have the option of getting their meals delivered to their rooms. We have limited our dining room to a 10 person seating capacity at a time. All group classes and gatherings have been postponed and social distancing is encouraged.
     
  • Salvation Army Family Stores: Thrift Stores are in the re-opening process. Strict sanitizing practices are being implemented to follow Phase 1 reopening guidelines provided by the State of Oregon and local counties for retail stores. CLICK HERE to see when stores open.
